Responding to the Call of Access to Justice
CLEAR Alumni Event, held during Pro Bono Week 2021, on why and how Christian lawyers should engage with access to justice.
Join us as we seek to learn together about access to justice and why it matters to us in our vocation as Christian lawyers. Is there a call to which we must respond? And if so, how do we do that in the busyness of life and the myriad of legitimate demands on our time, attention, and resources?
Take part in this live discussion with lawyers who have grappled with these issues themselves. We welcome anyone who is interested in, struggling in, or wants to grow in, the field of access to justice and pro bono work.
The evening will begin with a short talk on the Biblical foundation for access to justice.
We will then open a panel discussion with lawyers from across the UK: Each panellist will be first invited to share their personal experience and introductory remarks, before we have a discussion, where you can ask questions via Zoom. We hope also to have breakout rooms to facilitate small group discussion.
The event is free to join but please register and confirm your attendance on Eventbrite with your email address.
