In the busy world of the Christian lawyer, one of the most natural questions to ask about the LCF is "why join?"
We encourage you to think about joining the LCF as an act of commitment in that as a Christian lawyer and law student (or someone involved in the practice, administration, teaching or study of law in the UK) you share in our mission and vision to bring the whole Good News of Jesus Christ within the legal world.
Irrespective of any other involvement you might choose to have with the LCF, the act of becoming a member is of great value in supporting our vision to resource, unite and equip Christian lawyers and law students in their witness to Christ. We want to work with you and for you in your service as a Christian lawyer to members of the legal profession and the legal world as a whole.
With You - building relationships
We desire to give members at all stages of their legal careers the opportunity to meet with fellow Christian lawyers and law students, to study God's word together, to pray, to establish friendships and to "encourage one another and build each other up" (1 Thess 5:11).
Through conferences (national and regional), hosted debates, talks by guest speakers (CPD points may be available), socials, carol services, our website, mission trips, a weekly email called "Word for the week", and much more, we will work with you and support you in the exciting challenge of being a lawyer for Christ.
For You - providing resources
The LCF represents a corporate body of Christian lawyers who seek to proclaim Christ in the profession and the law. We seek to provide you with resources that will enable you to uphold Biblical values, witness effectively to the Good News of the gospel and serve Christ wholeheartedly as a lawyer. By harnessing the collective voice of all our members, the LCF is able to help you respond to ethical and practice issues and make a stand for Godly values in a much more effective way than any individual lawyer could do.
By supporting the work and providing opportunites for you to serve in developing countries, the LCF also enables its members to participate fully in seeking justice that points to Christ abroad, even if practicalities mean that many members are unable to travel overseas themselves.
If you are a Christian lawyer or law student we invite you to join the LCF - please select and click on "Join Now". This will show you our membership subscription rates (the level of which depends on your status as lawyers/student) and application form.
