Don't give up - keep going!

Week beginning: 17th November, 2019 | By Michael Hawthorne | Canterbury

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

Have you been praying for someone for a long time but not seeing any apparent answer to your prayer? It is so easy to get discouraged and give up. But as believers and disciples of the Lord Jesus we know that the path is not going to be easy. Jesus gave many warnings to those who would follow him to expect problems and difficulties as we carry our cross from day to day. May this verse encourage us today and throughout this week.

Let us approach every problem in our legal work and in life in general with a positive attitude that God is going to use us. We may never see in this life the results of our prayers and witness but if we remain faithful then one day we will be amazed at what God has done.

Prayer Points:

1. Is there someone you used to pray for but have not done so for some time? Why not intercede for them once again.
2. Is there as task you have been putting off? Perhaps this week is the time to tackle it.
3. We are here to witness for the long term. Ask God to rekindle your desire to serve.
