Week beginning: 21st August, 2016

"Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD'S purpose that prevails."
"We may make a lot of plans, but the LORD will do what he has decided."Proverbs 19:21 (N.I.V.) and Proverbs 19:21 (C.E.V.)
The best laid plans…
When you woke this morning and you saw the day stretching out in front of you, you probably had some idea of how you thought the day would work out.
Clients to see, opinions to write, decisions to take, judgments to give.
You settle into the routine of another busy day and then that unexpected telephone call or email can throw everything into confusion.
How do you react? There is an old Yiddish proverb: "We plan, God laughs."
It is at times like this that we need to remember that God is in control whatever we may feel – He is working His purposes out through us.
Therefore let go and let God direct.
1. Take time to stop now and offer afresh the day and the week ahead of you to the Lord and ask him to direct your paths.
2. Pray for those within the LCF for whom the road is uncertain, or who are experiencing difficult times, that they may know the truth that God is their rock in times of trouble.
