Student & Young Lawyer Conference 2025

Needing to stop, or waiting to start? Walking and working in time with God

21–23 November 2025 | Bath Youth Hostel

Time pressures. Career plans. Waiting seasons. Endless deadlines.

Whether you're caught in delay, craving direction, or caught up in the pace of early legal life — whose time is it, really?

Join us for the Students and Young Lawyers Conference 2025, where we'll explore how God's Word reframes our view of time, ambition, rest, and purpose.

Through a weekend of Bible teaching, worship, and time to connect with others in law, we'll ask what it looks like to walk in step with Christ in every season — whether you're a student or a newly qualified lawyer.

Together, let's consider how to steward our time well and build a legal life shaped not by urgency, but by eternity.

Conference Highlights

Friday: "Needing to stop, or waiting to start? Walking and working in time with God"
A session for those feeling stuck or stretched — reflecting on how Scripture reframes both waiting and working. With teaching, discussion, and space to reset.

Saturday: Join the wider LCF Natioal Conference for shared worship, Bible teaching, and networking across the legal profession.

Sunday: "Chasing the clock, losing sight of time: When mission gives way to ambition"
An honest look at ambition, comparison, and calling — learning how to pursue legal careers without losing sight of Christ.

Aside from teaching, the fellowship is the part of the weekend delegates appreciate the most. They love the opportunity just to take time to chat and build friendships. They also enjoy the chance to feed into the future of the LCF strategy, worshipping together and, of course, the evening fun!

But don't take our word for it...

"This was my first time attending SYL Conference and I had the best time! It was great to meet others who were at the same stage as you, and to take time to seek God on the topic of wisdom and justice. Dom Hughes spoke incredible messages and I am looking forward to taking away all that I have learnt into my day-to-day studies."

"I really had a fulfilling and wholesome time this weekend. Thank you and the team for everything you did for us. I felt so welcomed and really enjoyed making connections."

"Can I just say how valuable and enjoyable I found the weekend. I was worried about the weekend as I knew nobody but I felt so soaked in God's presence, around like minded people that I didn't even notice my anxieties."
