Lawyers' Christian Fellowship

Membership of the LCF is open to anyone involved in the practice, administration, teaching or study of law, who accepts and is personally committed to the principles of the Christian faith as taught in God's inspired word, the bible, particularly salvation from sin by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, God incarnate, who died on the cross, rose from death, ascended into heaven, indwells Christian believers through the Holy Spirit and will return in glory.

Please apply for membership by completing the form below. Once completed, you will be directed through to a Direct Debit form for your completion. If you are a student member you will only be able to complete an annual form. If you are a non-student member you will be able to choose between annual and monthly payments.

Please note that your membership is only confirmed when both the Membership form and the Subscription Direct Debit form have been received by the LCF national office. You will receive a welcome pack by post to confirm your membership.

Lawyer Member subscriptions are supplemented by the generous donations of both members and supporters throughout the year. Our new subcriptions model can provide the financial stability for growing the staff team, investing in evangelistic tools and events, and developing support for every member.

Student Student membership is open to law students (or those interested in pursuing a career in the legal profession), lawyers or those working in a legal capacity (e.g paralegals).

Gift Aid Declaration

I am a UK taxpayer and I agree to Lawyers' Christian Fellowship claiming tax on all past, present and future donations I make to the charity. Please treat my donations as Gift Aid donations. By ticking this box I confirm that I am paying or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover the amount Lawyers' Christian Fellowship and any other charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) will reclaim for the tax year (6 April one year to 5 April the next year). Council Tax and VAT do not qualify towards Gift Aid. Lawyers' Christian Fellowship will reclaim 25 pence of tax for every £1 that has been given.

I am not eligible for Gift Aid or do not wish to be part of the Gift Aid scheme. I will inform the LCF if circumstances change

Declaration

The LCF as a membership organisation is a registered charity and was incorporated in 2010 as a Company Limited by Guarantee not having a share capital. LCF members are members of the incorporated charity. The guarantee or liability of each member is limited to £1, being the amount that each member undertakes to contribute to the assets of the Fellowship in the event of its being wound up while they are a member or within one year after they cease to be a member.

I wish to become a member of the registered company known as The Lawyers’ Christian Fellowship (the LCF) Company No. 1139281 and accordingly agree to pay my annual subscription and acknowledge that as a member of the incorporated charity I may be liable for the sum of £1 in the event of the LCF being wound up.
By providing my personal and direct debit details either on any paper copy direct debit form or online via the LCF website, I understand that the LCF is subject to the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, and is registered with the Information Commissioner (No. Z9999742).
I understand that my personal information will be used by the LCF for the ministry and administrative purposes of the LCF in order to keep me informed and to actively contact you regarding LCF matters, and is also subject to the LCF Data Protection Policy which can be read here: Privacy Policy.
I give permission for the LCF to use my preferred email and postal address as submitted on my membership application (and any amended details thereafter) for both general communications about LCF activities and formal notices regarding the LCF as an incorporated body and consent to both the privacy policy and the use of my email for LCF communications.
Please note that once you have registered as a member and been accepted, you will be able to log in at any point and update your details, password and which details, if any, you would like other LCF members to see about you and whether you would wish to receive potential work referrals / legal requests of help from the general public.
